We receive a large number of submissions from new writers and although we take the time to consider every play at length and present basic feedback, we are not always able to provide the level of analysis that we would like to, especially for those plays that we have chosen not to develop.
We, therefore, offer a not-for-profit detailed feedback service whereby for a competitive fee we will deliver a greater level of feedback on your play, be it in the form of a reader's report, line by line analysis or 1:1 script surgery.
Prepared by both our Artistic Director and Literary Associate, our reader's report covers a wide range of key areas including script presentation, story, character, dialogue, etc.
Play of up to 25 pages: £15
Play of between 26 – 50 pages: £30
Play of between 51 - 75 pages: £45
Play of between 76 - 100+ pages: £60
Our reader's report on your play will be delivered within three weeks of a submission being received.
Line by Line Analysis
Prepared by both our Artistic Director and Literary Associate, our line by line analysis of your play is presented in the form of an annotated script and covers all areas including script presentation, story, character, dialogue, pacing, structure, themes, marketability, etc.
Play of up to 25 pages: £75
Play of between 26 – 50 pages: £100
Play of between 51 - 75 pages: £125
Play of between 76 - 100+ pages: £150
Our line by line analysis of your play will be delivered within five weeks of a submission being received.
1:1 Script Surgeries
These one-hour script surgeries are led by our Artistic Director and aimed at those writers who would prefer to discuss their work in person, be it for guidance as they prepare a first draft of their script, help with a difficult aspect of their play or general advice on their writing career and how they can best find a route to production.
The cost of an hour long script surgery is £35.
The surgery will take place in London within two weeks of your submission being received. These sessions can also be conducted over the telephone and via Skype for those based elsewhere.
For each of the services above, please submit your play (be it a finished draft or work in progress), including a brief character breakdown, synopsis and cover letter, which tells us a little bit about yourself, to email@example.com. Any enquiries should also be directed to this email address.
All monies earned from our detailed feedback service are reinvested in our playwriting initiatives, including workshops, scratch evenings, script troubleshooting clinics, idea development surgeries, etc.
